The development objective of the Uttarakhand Water Supply Program For Peri-urban Areas Project for India is to increase access to improved water supply services in peri-urban areas in Uttarakhand. The Government of Uttarakhand (GoUK) Water Supply and Sanitation (WSS) Program is well aligned with the Government of India (GoI) targets, and comprises six sub-sectoral components: (a) Urban Water Supply, (b) Urban Sanitation, (c) Rural Water Supply, (d) Rural Sanitation, (e) Peri-urban Water Supply, and (f) Peri-urban Sanitation
