Six bridges are being constructed under the World Bank-funded Jhelum-Tawi Flood Recovery Project (JTFRP) in Baramulla district
Chief Executive Officer of the J&K Economic Reconstruction Agency and JTFRP Raghav Langer visited the project sites of the six bridges being executed by the state-owned Jammu and Kashmir Projects Construction Corporation
An official statement said the construction of the bridges would provide an all-weather connectivity to the people living in the remote parts of Baramulla with the district headquarters. It would also provide the inhabitants, who mostly rely on horticulture and agriculture sector for livelihood, better market access. The sites include the Wazza Mohalla bridge over Fristhar nallah, Wagela bridge and Shrakwara bridge over Ningli nallah, Wahdina bridge, Gogjidaji bridge (Sopore) and Trikolabal bridge in Pattan involving a cumulative cost of Rs 39.46 crore
