The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) has secured 360 hectares of land for the Virar-Alibaug Multimodal Corridor (VAMMC), which will connect Raigad, Thane, and Palghar districts. The project requires a total of 1,000 hectares and will feature an eight to 14-lane access-controlled road. With an estimated cost of ?55,000 crore, the project is expected to be completed by 2030. Compensation for land acquisition will be provided under the LARR Act of 2015.
