Liebherr Appliances India, a subsidiary of Switzerland’s Liebherr-Hausgeräte, will begin operations at its Aurangabad manufacturing plant in May 2018

The company has invested Rs 500 crore in this facility. The company is also targeting 100 cities in southern India to sell its refrigerators. It will team up with major dealers and retail chains as it aims to make 40 percent of its sale from the region

The plant will have an initial capacity of five lakh units a year. Liebherr Appliances is planning to manufacture 19 different models in 2018, and in 2019 the company will add about 22 models

Another 11 technologically advanced models will be introduced in the next three years
