The Deendayal Port Trust has envisaged development of oil jetties no 8, 9, 10 & 11 at Old Kandla, Gandhidham in Kachchh district of Gujarat.
The total land area for development for associated facilities is 1,432 acre. Each jetty will handle 3.5 million tpa of liquid cargo. The proposed project will handle edible oil, fertilisers and food grains. The project will entail an investment of Rs 1,505.74 crore.
In August 2017, the terms of reference (ToR) was granted for the project.
As per the latest information available with Projects Today, contractor was yet to be appointed.
