ShivOm Dayal Energies is planning to set up a bio-fuel unit in Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh. The project will utilise about 200 tonne of agro-waste per day for production of 50,000 ltr of second-generation ethanol. The project will entail an investment of Rs 400 crore. The unit will be set up under technical collaboration with the Institute of Nuclear Energy Research (INER), Taiwan. In February 2018, ShivOm Dayal Energies signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) during the Uttar Pradesh Investors Summit 2018. The state government in its cabinet meeting in February 2019 approved the project. ShivOm Dayal Energies is awaiting environment clearance (EC) and state approval.
