485.50Crore | Wellknown Polyesters plans to set up a man-made fibre yarn manufacturing unit at Morai village in Valsad district of Gujarat. The cost of the project is pegged at Rs 485.50 crore and will spread over 15.85 acre of land. Some of the products which will be manufactured include fully drawn yarn of 350 tpd capacity, polyester staple fiber of 350 tpd capacity and pet chips/industrial yarn also of 350 tpd. The project also includes setting up a coal-based power generation unit of 50 MW. The manufacturing unit will generate direct employment for 3,340 persons. Wellknown Polyesters is awaiting environment clearance (EC). The work on the project is expected to commence by September 2020 with a slated completion in June 2021. | Updated on: 17 - Feb - 2020
