Unibic Foods is planning to ramp up its production capacity by 10,000 tpa in FY21 to meet the growing demand for its products in the Delhi NCR and North-East markets
In 2019, the cookie maker introduced a new production line to its manufacturing facility in Bengaluru, Karnataka, which augmented its capacity by 20 percent to 100 tpd, raising its total production capacity to 36,000 tpa
For 2021, it has identified captive manufacturing capacity in the east with a production capacity of 8,000-10,000 tpa that will help cater to the growth potential the company is planning to achieve. This addition will take the company’s total production capacity to 44,000 to 46,000 tpa
Unibic Foods will start with the production of cheaper brands in the captive manufacturing plant, while premium brands will be made in Bengaluru
