Hewlett-Packard Company (HP), a manufacturer of printers, laptops and desktops, is expanding its manufacturing footprint in India
The company is setting up a new facility in Chennai, Tamil Nadu with electronics manufacturer Flex
Flex will manufacture HP Desktops and Workstation PCs at the plant on a contractual basis. The facility is scheduled to be operational from August 2020
The company’s presence in Chennai will allow as proximity to the port due to which the company get raw materials from other parts of Asia quickly
It is also closer to a spare parts facility in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The plant will have the flexibility to scale up manufacturing capabilities on demand
