Wipro will acquire IVIA Serviços de Informática, a specialised IT services provider to financial services, retail and manufacturing sectors in Brazil, for a consideration of USD 22.4 million (around 169 crore)
The acquisition will help Wipro in setting up delivery centres in the North East of Brazil leveraging IVIA’s workforce
Wipro has a presence in Latin America with offices across five countries in the region namely, Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Colombia and Costa Rica
IVIA, is privately held and has a workforce of around 722 employees as of December 2019 and provides lT solutions including system development, maintenance, consulting and project management services
The company’s revenue stood at USD 13.5 million at the end of December 2019
The acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions and is likely to be completed in Q2/FY21
