On 6 March 2022, Mr. Satyendar Jain, Water Minister & Chairman of Delhi Jal Board (DJB), laid foundation stone for 505 km sewer network
The 505 km sewer network will be laid in 84 colonies and 27 villages of Najafgarh and Matiala constituency
The work involves laying sewer lines in approximately 76 colonies and 26 villages in Najafgarh
On completion of this project, it will benefit approximately eight lakh people residing in and outside of the area. Similarly, a 159 km long sewer line in Kanganheri, Goyla Vihar, Khera Dabar, and Sarangpur Group of Colonies was also laid in the Matiala Constituency
