Smart Paper, an Egyptian paper industry, recently announced its partnership with Norwegian firm Empower to build a 4.5 MW rooftop solar plant in Egypt, as part of the government’s renewable energy program
This is Empower’s fourth project in Egypt and the sixth in Africa in progress
Work has commenced on Phase-I of the 4.5 MW rooftop solar plant project for Smart Paper, in collaboration with its partner EPC – Gree Solar
The plant that the project seeks to build will have an annual capacity of more than eight GW/hr of clean electricity, reducing more than 5,000 tonne of carbon dioxide while also increasing profit levels
