Patel Engineering along with its joint venture (JV) partners have received letters of award (LOAs) for the Krishna Marathwada Irrigation Project from the Water Resources Department, Government of Maharashtra. The JVs were declared L1 (lowest bidders) earlier for the project
The scope involves the investigation, design, construction, testing, commissioning of works comprising civil and allied works under the Lift Irrigation Scheme-I and Scheme-II of Krishna Marathwada Irrigation Project in Osmanabad district of Maharashtra
The EPC contract is valued at Rs 451.28 crore, with a completion timeline of 36 months respectively
Patel Engineering holds 51 percent in the JV in Scheme-I and 60 percent in the JV in the Scheme-II project. The company has executed infrastructure projects in the hydro power, irrigation and water supply, and urban infrastructure segments
The projects, once completed, will help to reduce the problem of drought in the Marathwada region
