On 16 August, 2023, the National Institute of Technology-Calicut (NIT-C) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with TATA Elxsi to strengthen collaborative research and innovation in the electric vehicle (EV) domain
With the signing of this MoU, the project is expected to enhance NIT-C’s industry connections and equip students for driving transformation in the EV sector
TATA Elxsi will set up a laboratory at the NIT-C, and the funding for this project is set at Rs one crore, where TATA Elxsi will contribute Rs 75 lakh, and NIT-C will provide the balance amount
NIT-C had entered into an MoU with Tata Elxsi in 2022 to collaborate on research related to e-mobility and associated technologies, and to facilitate the exchange of industry professionals, faculty members, and students through sponsored research projects and internships
