Kalpataru Projects International (KPIL) and Gulermak joint venture (JV), a KPIL-Gulermak JV, has emerged as the lowest bidder for the construction of the underground section (Package KNPCC-11) of 8.6 km Line-2 (Rawatpur-Jaurali) of Kanpur Metro
Under Package KNPCC-11 of Phase-1, the metro will connect the agriculture depot with the Double Pullia ramp through three underground stations at Rawatpur, Kakadeo and Double Pullia. This section with twin tunnels is expected to be approx. 3.2 km long
In February 2023, Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) invited bids for this contract with an estimated cost of Rs 1,025 crore. The order has a completion deadline of 30 months
Technical bids were opened in July, and nine firms (three in a consortium) submitted bids for the development of this metro line, connecting Rawatpur and Jaurali via eight stations
