Arunachal Pradesh Cabinet approved the formulation of the Arunachal Pradesh Logistics Policy in alignment with the PM Gati Shakti framework. Arunachal cabinet approves logistics policy for integrated development by 2047
The Cabinet, under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Pema Khandu, took cognizance of the recent improvements in connectivity infrastructure and the growth opportunities it presents. In 2022, the National Logistics Policy was launched with focus on bringing in efficiency and reduce costs. The Policy has the aim to strengthen an integrated, multi-modal, logistics ecosystem for a ‘Developed Arunachal Pradesh 2047
the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan was launched to provide multimodal connectivity infrastructure to economic zones. Some of the key projects mentioned in the policy are the Arunachal Frontier Highway from Nafra to Vijoynagar, Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Balinong, establishment of nine new industrial areas, warehouse facility for Itanagar Capital Complex at Chimpu and logistics hub at Namsai, already proposed for financing under the scheme
