Ambuja Cements, now a part of Adani Group plans to invest Rs 1,000 crore to set up a cement grinding unit in Godda district of Jharkhand. The new four million tpa (MTPA) cement grinding unit would be set up after obtaining the required approvals
The project has been planned in close proximity to Adani Power (Jharkhand), as part of a comprehensive approach to disposing of fly ash in an environmentally-safe manner, to contribute to the circular economy. The unit will generate direct and indirect employment for over 2,500 individuals in the region, reinforcing Ambuja Cements’ commitment to fostering inclusive growth in the state
Ambuja Cements operates two cement plants in Jharkhand with a combined capacity of six MTPA. Jharkhand has strategic importance in terms of resources, infrastructure, and skilled manpower, making it a suitable location for this project and for the company to ensure the successful implementation of this project
Ambuja, with its subsidiaries ACC and recently acquired Sanghi Industries has taken the Adani Group’s cement capacity to 77.4 million tonne, with 18 integrated cement manufacturing plants and 18 cement grinding units across the country
