Remsons Industries, supplier of cables and shifters for the automotive industry, and Aircom Group, Switzerland, have formed a joint venture (JV) company to be incorporated as Aircom Remsons Automotive (ARAPL).
ARAPL would be engaged in manufacturing and selling tyre mobility kits, specifically new-age puncture kits and its components. The JV with the European firm will help to gain considerable market share in the tyre mobility segment, which includes tyre repair kits and related products, sealants, air compressors, plugs for repairing and preventing punctures in various types of tyres.
ARAPL would focus on eventually launching these products as a B2C product wherein the spare tyre vehicles also need puncture kits and air compressors. Also, it will do away with the concept of spare tyres, even as few luxury car OEMs have started providing tyre mobility kits for convenience and lesser weight to improve the mileage.
