Amul Dairy has commissioned two advanced SIG filling lines for aseptic carton packs at its Kheda Satellite Dairy plant in Khatraj, Gujarat. With the commissioning of the machines, an SIG Slimline 12 Aseptic and an SIG XSlim 24 Aseptic, the total number of SIG filling lines at Amul is now at five.
The additional lines at the company's Kheda Satellite Dairy plant will help to enhance its packaging capacity and target markets with various price points with new product lines. The partnership with SIG is a key enabler to drive Amul’s vision of bringing a wide range of products to market in line with emerging trends.
The SIG XSlim 24 Aseptic filling line offers the flexibility to fill nine different volumes (from 80ml to 200ml) on the same filling line, and can fill 24,000 SIG XSlim carton packs per hour. These will be used to fill white milk in 200 ml and 1,000 ml carton packs. Different flavours of its fruit and whey drink offered under the brand name Amul Tru, will be available in 150 ml aseptic carton packages.
