JK Cement, a leading Indian manufacturer of grey cement and prominent global white cement producer has announced the commissioning of a new grinding unit at its Prayagraj plant in Uttar Pradesh
This milestone, achieved in a record time of under ten months, is part of its expansion stategy and strengthens the company's commitment to meet the growing demand for cement in Eastern Uttar Pradesh, as well as customer base across key markets.
The plant in Prayagraj is a two MTPA clinker grinding unit project which will increase the overall capacity of the organisation from the present 22 MTPA to 24 MTPA. The grinding unit is equipped with German technology, ensuring high energy efficiency and reducing input and fixed costs. JK Cements' commitment to quality, innovation, and sustainability are the hallmarks of the operation of the new grinding unit.
Presently, JK Cement operates two functional units in Uttar Pradesh, which are situated in Aligarh and Hamipur with the capacity of 1.5 MTPA and two MTPA , respectively.
Designed with cutting-edge technologies, the project is expected to generate substantial direct and indirect employment opportunities within the state, it contributes significantly to the local economy and fostering regional growth, even as the government is making investment in roads, bridges, and buildings.
