Following the triumph of the TDP in Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections, the Amaravati capital city project, which was shelved by the outgoing YSRCP government, is now being revived. The greenfield capital city is being envisioned to be an environmentally sustainable one, located between Vijayawada and Guntur cities, covering up to 29 villages.
