The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has announced that Rithwik Projects Pvt. Ltd. has emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for the construction contract of the Dongari Depot for Mumbai Metro's Red Line. This significant project will be carried out under package CA-207.

The Dongari Depot is strategically planned on 41.36 hectares of land in northwest Mumbai. Once completed, it will serve as the primary facility for housing and maintaining trains for the entire Red Line. This depot is essential for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of the metro trains, contributing to the overall efficiency and reliability of Mumbai's metro network.

The Red Line itself includes Line 9, Line 7, and Line 7A, which will collectively connect Dongri, Mira Bhayandar, Dahisar East, Gundavali, and CSIA Terminal 2. This extensive network will significantly enhance connectivity across key regions in Mumbai, providing a robust transportation solution for commuters.

The construction of the Dongari Depot marks a critical step in the development of the Red Line, reflecting MMRDA's commitment to improving the city's infrastructure and public transportation system. The successful bid by Rithwik Projects Pvt. Ltd. highlights their expertise and capability in executing large-scale infrastructure projects.
