GE Power India (GEPIL) has received a notice of award from NTPC GE Power Services (NGSL).
Under the terms of the order, GEPIL will be responsible for renovation and modernisation of NTPC's steam turbines of Vindhyachal TPS Unit No. 1-3 (3x210 MW) for heat rate (efficiency) improvement and life extension. The contract worth approx. Rs 348 crore is expected to be completed in 44 months.
The company will be responsible for all the critical supplies including design and engineering, testing and commissioning of the system. GE Power India's operations is across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction, and servicing.
NGSL, a JV of GEPIL and NTPC participated in this bid as the bidder.
