The Ministry of Rural Development has approved significant investments to enhance rural connectivity in the North-East under PMGSY-III.
For Meghalaya, 88 roads spanning 782.155 km and 55 bridges have been sanctioned, with an investment of ?1,056.82 crore. Earlier, 55 roads covering 443.26 km were approved, with a ?412.34 crore investment.
In Nagaland, a road length of 55.89 km has been approved, with an investment of ?54.75 crore. Additionally, 40 roads covering 506.69 km had previously been sanctioned with an investment of ?489.70 crore. These initiatives aim to boost regional connectivity and foster economic growth in the North-Eastern states.
