Kochi: Considering the long-standing demand for comprehensive road development in Vypeen region, 19 roads and five bridges in the constituency have been recommended for inclusion in development projects under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana.
The recommended roads are Mosque Road in wards 4 and 5, Janakeeya Road in ward 22, Janakeeya Reach Road in ward 21 and Cherai Manappilly Road in ward 12 of Pallipuram grama panchayat. In Kuzhuppilly panchayat, Onav Road in ward 13 is in the list.
Other roads in the list include Nedungad Pallipalam Road in ward 7, Boat Jetty Road in ward 4 and Sishore Road in ward 15 (Nayarambalam panchayat); Farm Link Road in ward 13, Sun Road in ward 16 and Fish Farm Road in ward 1 (Njarakkal); Puthussery - Chariyamthuruth Road in ward 2, Kothad Rehabilitation Road in ward 7 and Pizhala - Cheriya Kadamakkudy Road in ward 10 (Kadamakkudy grama panchayat).
The MLA also informed that govt has granted sanction for Rs 16.32 lakh worth construction project of Illathuparambu (Indira Ji) Road in ward 5 of Mulavukad panchayat. The administrative approval is part of the MLA's constituency asset development plan.
