The Public Works Department (PWD) has identified approximately 80 key road stretches across Delhi that require strengthening and repair to improve the commuting experience. Major stretches like the Outer Ring Road from Okhla flyover to Chirag Dilli, Mehrauli-Mahipalpur Road, ITO near the Delhi Secretariat, and Hyatt flyover are among the areas targeted for this project. Repair work has already commenced on some stretches, with work on the remaining stretches set to begin soon.
Challenges like parking issues and encroachments have delayed work on specific stretches, especially in Central Delhi areas such as Karol Bagh and Patel Nagar. PWD aims to address these obstacles to ensure timely project completion.
