Amazon Data Services India has acquired a 38.18-acre land parcel in Palava near Mumbai from Macrotech Developers (Lodha) for over Rs 450 crore.
Through this deal, it with access to a sanctioned floor space index of approx. 4.16 million sq. ft. offering substantial development potential. As part of the agreement, Amazon has already paid Rs 396 crore at the time of execution and registration, with the remaining Rs 54 crore to be disbursed upon fulfillment of specific conditions. Additionally, the company paid a Rs 27 crore stamp duty for registering the deal, which was finalised on 12 November, 2024.
The acquisition aligns with Amazon’s broader strategy to expand its data infrastructure capabilities in India, addressing the growing demand for cloud services and digital storage.
