On 05 January, 2025, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated seven flyovers constructed by the Maharashtra Rail Infrastructure Development Corporation (MAHARAIL). These projects, located in Nagpur, Amravati, Wardha, Chandrapur, Dhule, Jalgaon, and Washim, showcase Maharashtra’s rapid progress in infrastructure development.
During the event, CM Fadnavis commended MAHARAIL for its unprecedented speed in flyover construction, and further revealed that the state plans to complete 200 more flyovers and underpasses shortly, reinforcing its commitment to modernization.
The flyovers inaugurated include Nagpur - flyover at Railway Gate no. 293 near Godhani Railway Station, Amravati - flyover at Railway Gate no. 70 near Chandur Railway Station, Wardha - flyover at Railway Gate no. 103 near Sindi Railway Station, Chandrapur- flyover at Railway Gate No. 43A/143A at Babupeth, Dhule - flyover at Dondaicha city railway gate no. 105, Jalgaon - flyover at Railway Gate no. 149 near Jalgaon Railway Station, and Washim - flyover at Railway Gate no. 115 near Washim Railway Station.
Managing Director of MAHARAIL, Rajesh Kumar Jaiswal and senior officials attended the inauguration. The projects underline Maharashtra’s commitment to enhancing connectivity and reducing traffic bottlenecks, particularly near railway gates.
